3m spray mounting adhesive Forget Elmer’s Glue- 3m photo mount adhesive spray is the best way to professionally mount your photographs. The adhesive provides a strong, permanent bond between the photos and the mounting surface. Unlike other types of adhesive, it dries clear and doesn’t turn yellow over time.

To use 3M photo mount adhesive spray, simply spray the adhesive on to the back of the photograph, covering it all the way to the edges. Then, pick the photo up, position it right-side-up on your mounting board, and press down.

Sounds easy enough, right? However, there are a few things you need to be aware of when using this product to mount photos and prints:

· 3M photo mount adhesive spray contains petroleum distillate, propane, non-volatile compounds, acetone and isopropyl alcohol. These substances produce harmful vapors, so you should only use the spray in a well-ventilated area or outside. They are also quite flammable, so don’t use the spray around open flame.

· The adhesive will bond the photo to the mounting board instantly, so take care that you position the photo correctly the first time around.

· 3M photo mount adhesive spray will ruin most interior surfaces, so lay the photo down on scrap cardboard or newspaper to spray it.

· If the product gets on the front side of your photographs, it will ruin them. Since the adhesive sticks to your fingertips, avoid touching your picture immediately after mounting it.  To be on the safe side, some users suggest slipping on a pair of white gloves or using a soft microfiber cloth to handle the newly mounted photograph.

Getting professional-looking results with 3M photo mount adhesive takes a bit of practice. If you don’t have the patience for it or you’d rather not worry about making a mess, you may be better off simply hiring a professional to mount your pictures for you.
