Large Plexiglass Face Mounting With Kodak Endura Metallic

Below is a video shot of a large plexiglass face mount using Kodak Endura Metallic paper which really gives the image a rich look.. almost 3-D particularly when mounted behind the plexiglass. This is perhaps one of the most spectacular pieces we’ve done to date here at BumbleJax.com. The artist is George Atherton out of Seattle. If I’m not mistaken this was a 26×76 plexiglass print which is larger than we typically do due to the difficulty in doing these without imperfections. We typically get the artist to OK small imperfections before taking on a project this size otherwise it’s too much of a risk for us to take on. Redoing a print this size is very costly. In this case it turned out perfect and we couldn’t have been happier. If you’d like a custom photo mounting on plexiglass do give us a shout for a quote.

I have tried your acrylic mounting and really like it. 2 questions, when will you start offering a metallic print paper such as kodak endura and second, why a 15 MB file limit? Even in JPEG it is hard to maintain this if I provide an image at 300 PPI at any size over your 9 by 12.

I know we replied to you over email Tony, but wanted to mention here that yes are now offering metallic paper with our acrylic product. The combo creates an incredibly vibrant look. We restrict the size of uploading on the site due to security and performance issues, but have an FTP option for larger files.

I am curious about this alternative type of mounting for digital prints. It was recommended to me by a photographer. I am new at Digital photography but have worked in film and video over the last 21 years. Question, what would be the cost of a print as large as 21 X 34 inches to plexiglass and how much to aluminum with a stain laminate?
